Vitamin D Derived from Lanolin?

I have a vitamin D supplement that is derived from lanolin. It is yeast, soy,

corn, gluten, wheat, sugar, and starch free.

However, I am unsure whether lanolin is legal. Anyone know?

I eventually plan to buy the fermented cod liver oil, once I have used up my

existing supply. I may do that sooner, if lanolin is an illegal/suspect

derivative for D.

Thanks,

Jill
