Guest guest
I would never stop taking insulin if I was told to! I'm not that hard headed! LOL My aunt & grandmother had diabetes plus lots of my mothers cousins. As soon as they got the infection cleared up my sugar was back to normal. The doctor said I didn't have diabetes but they gave me a diet for diabetes and a heart diet. My heart is in good shape also so far. I asked for a prescription for a blood glucose meter before I left the hospital. I have been testing twice a day & my fasting blood sugar has been from 74 to 111. I'll take the meter to the doctor and show him the results. I have an appt with the infectious disease doc next week, wound care appt the following week & then another appt with the ortho doc. My wound on my elbow is slowly healing but the Cytoxin makes everything so slow to heal. I guess all of our meds make us slow to heal.
