Guest guest
Hiya, I only had lower and based on what I have been reading and my recovery, I would say it was a lot less complicated for me than some of the other people who have posted. I have written a lot over the last two weeks since my surgery on 1/24. You can go into the archives and photo albums if you're curious to my recovery up till this point. Good Luck and I'm happy to answer any specific questions! Tova > > Hey. I posted something before but nobody responded. I will try > again. Guest guest
how can we know the difference if we've not had upper jaw surgery??? i had lower jaw advancement in may 2004... there was NO pain... swelling was bad, but subsided.. numbness completely disappeared in about 3 months... my surgeon told me that the upper jaw surgery has more impact on the change in face than lower jaw surgery... some ehre have complained that they felt their nose looked wider after upper jaw sugery... my face actually looked thinner after my lower jaw advancent... bottom line: RESULTS VARY from person to person... > > Hey. Guest guest
I had lower only, and while I trust I'll never know how it would be to have upper and lower, I think probably one jaw is easier than two. It is also my impression that lower is easier than upper, just because you don't have the nasal area involved. That way you probably won't have the congestion and trouble breathing that people may have when the surgeon does a lot of work around the nose. Good luck to you! Cammie > > Hey.
