I couldn't watch TV or read for about a 5-6 days. I had really strange dreams for about 2 weeks. Are you sure it wasn't the epidural causing the drowsiness and strange dreams? That's a narcotic in there. Sheryl
Guest guest
I had the general and didn't have any of thee problems. Mine was lap and I never used the morphine drip. When I woke up I was a little groggy for the rest of the day but that was it. And that didn't bother me. I wanted to sleep! LOL! Guest guest
It is my understanding that these epidurals do not cause headaches. It didn't with me either. It is also not like the epidural you have for child birth. They still put you under anesthesia. The epidural is for pain control after surgery. I HIGHLY recommend it, especially if your surgery will be open.
