Are you sure it wasn't the epidural causing the drowsiness and strange

dreams? That's a narcotic in there.

I had the general and didn't have any of thee problems. Mine was lap

and I never used the morphine drip. When I woke up I was a little

groggy for the rest of the day but that was it. And that didn't

bother me. I wanted to sleep! LOL!

It is my understanding that these epidurals do not cause headaches. It

didn't with me either. It is also not like the epidural you have for child

birth. They still put you under anesthesia. The epidural is for pain control

after surgery. I HIGHLY recommend it, especially if your surgery will be

open.
