Guest guest
Thank you for the link, . That is very helpful information. The only deviation from the protocol that my doc uses is that he does fiberglass casts rather than plaster. They are very firm, though and do not bend. He does manipulate them while they are bendable and not set up and hold them until they are set up. Her feet look good and are responding well to the casts so I THINK things are going well. (It is hard to say without being an " expert " in this, but they look good to me and he can answer all my " Ponseti method " questions appropriately.) If there are any families in the Fort Worth, Texas area who would like to get together for support maybe once a month or so, please email me directly at csheltonhome@.... I am desperate for some face-to-face support, although this group has been a Godsend! I think Dr. Lund has a few families on here. And I think 's mom is from Texas too. Carol, there's a " parents' checklist " at this site that might be useful to you: http://members.tripod.com/ponseti_links-ivil<http://members.tripod.com/ponseti_l\ inks-ivil> in helping to determine if there are any areas where your doctor might not be following protocol. If you have any questions, please just ask! Regards, & (3-16-00, left clubfoot) > > Hi Carol. > > There is one parent from this board I know lives in Texas. I am not sure exactly where though. I think she is in Dallas, which wouldn't be that far from you. Her name is Hundley. Again, I'm not 100% sure she is in Dallas. > > , you out there? Guest guest
Plaster casting tape is a lot cheaper in price to buy than the fiberglass tape but, you can get the same results with either one.
