Guest guest
There has been alot of talk on the board about constipation and iron, water, etc. I think this is just a good reminder that everybody's body is different and what works good for one person might not work for you. I have not had a problem with constipation but I do not take more than a one a day vitamin with iron. I do not take additional iron because my nutrionist said that I am absorbing alot of iron with the protein that I get. I do eat meat and protein is absorbed more easily with meat than with other things such as dark green lettuce, etc. The ultimate test so-to-speak is our follow up lab work which will say how we're doing with iron levels. Also remember that lab results are based on guidelines and a person can be a little low or high on something compared to the average and its not the end of the world. Find what works best for you and don't worry too much about what other people are doing. gets in lots of water and that works great for her. I try to get in lots of water too and get lots of protein in so I don't worry about iron supplements. I know from Washington cut back slightly on her iron supplements and she is working hard to get her protein in and doing great. Her weightloss is awesome! Anyways, use your lab results, dr recommendations, and your gut instincts to find what works best for you!
