I've also been eating a coconut cream/gelatin mixture which has a TON of gelatin in it. if Knox plain gelatin is similar to the stuff from bone broth then I've got an abundance of it in my belly :)-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 7 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 5 pills a dayTo: BTVC-SCD From: smdsmom2008@...Date: Wed, 10 Feb 2010 05:29:02 +0000Subject: Re: Observations, Questions, Concerns, and randoms...

That works, chicken, beef, fish... it's the gelatin from the boiled bones that is soothing to the gut.

I've gone back to intro for 2 day and now i'm eating very little honey, no nut flours, and only seasoned meats, eggs, mashed squash, cooked carrots and broccoli, mild cheddar cheese, legal bacon, legal brown mustard from digestivewellness, at least a cup of yogurt a day with no honey in it, no more than 1 banana a day, avocado(1 a day at most), cheesecake, and I made a type of jello with coconut cream. Everything i've been eating has never bothered me before so I have no reason to believe it's anything i'm eating but who knows. Seasoning are nothing new as well.

From Nourishing Traditions, it's not quite as good as the home made stuff but

it's still good. Are you feeling better today?

hard to tell, i'm always better in the morning after I wake since I take the steroids before bed... then I notice the effects wearing off slowly throughout the day. Seems to be wearing off a little bit less every day though so that's good. Only concern is running out before I can get healed enough to stop them. If it comes down to it, i'll just have to pay out of pocket... makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know i'll be helping some rich executive at a pharmaceutical company afford a 5th BMW for their driveway.-UC - 1+ yearsSCD - 7 months 100% strict and 4 months restricted diet.Asacol - 5 pills a dayTo: BTVC-SCD From: smdsmom2008@...Date: Wed, 10 Feb 2010 15:57:35 +0000Subject: Re: Observations, Questions, Concerns, and randoms...

Is that SCD legal? looked it up and " Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, cellulose, magnesium stearate." those are the other ingredients. Do you get it online or at a store? I would try S Boulardii, but it may work better for CD than UC. Not sure but I started a stronger dose of S Boulardi (Nutricolgy 3 pills 3 times a day) a week ago and have been pretty much symptom free for a week.

First off, GREAT news about being cancer free!!! I know you're going to take that vacation you've been dreaming about Marilyn. Congrats!!Next, I visited Whole Foods Market and they have an idle for everything except an SCD isle. When they get that isle I will be shopping there exclusively. Finally, I can't get my flare under control this time. cut the oil of oregano - it's irritating in a flare.

if you are having mucous, I'd cut the dairy for a little while.

Make ghee (get rid of the milk solids from the butter),

keep with the yogurt but cut the cheese until mucous

ameliorates.

Just keep on keeping on, sometimes it takes a while.

What happened with the vitamin E? Not helping?

Yes, S. boulardii is certainly legal. And very helpful, especially if you

have diarrhea.

Those other ingredients are ok.

I also use Nutricology's. You can get a 50 capsule bottle for $12.79 at

luckyvitamin.com (or $12.66 each if you buy 3, $12.53 each for 6).

I normally take one capsule before each meal; or two at a time if I feel I

need it.

The added ingredients are SCD legal -- and the Nuricology brand of s.

boulardii is one I use myself. You can probably get it on line. I get

mine at the Vitamin Shoppe.

Yes, this is SCD legal per Marilyn. Netnutri.com sells for $6.50 a bottle. Vitamin shoppe is $18 a bottle?

It's worth a try.

I got SCDophilus and S Boulardii from GI Prohealth. Their S

Boulardii is 60 caps for $25.95 and the fillers are " cellulose,

vCaps vegetarian capsule, water and L-leucine " which sounds pretty

pure to me. I haven't used this yet but I haven't had any trouble with

the SCDophilus. Their stuff seems pretty pure.

I also take the GI Prohealth SCDophilus and tried their S Boulardii. But GI Prohealth S Boulardii is only 1/3 the strength of Nutricology. Also Nutricology says 9 capsules a day to GI Prohealth saying take 1 a day. I really noticed an improvement with the Nutricology higher strengh and higher dose S Boulardii.

, you could always buy the 50 MG pills from some place like

AllDayChemist.com and make your own LDN. It's very economical that way. I paid

about $75 for nearly a years worth of medicine.
