I was biking at 260 - using a pretty standard, off road type mountain bike.

They seemed sturdier to me, bigger tires! And about half of my biking was on

dirt or gravel roads. The only problem I encountered was those horrible sore

tailbones from sitting on the seat - so I'd recommend either getting a

modified " tractor " type seat, or a gel pad cover for a standard seat. The

gel pad really helped my poor butt.

One thought though from my experience - I injured a small muscle in my knee

during a workout, and figured I could switch from the elliptical trainer to

the bike to take it easy. The bike was much harder on my knee! But that

could definitely just be me!

Have fun either way.

Well, you can add me to that list.....I have a bad knee and the bike KILLS

it......I am fine with the treadmill and I can do step aerobics no

problem........but no bike :( P.
