Hi ,

First of all, I'm so sorry about your Dad. I do know how difficult

it is.

As for the weight gain, I'm glad you're back here. If you stick

around a while, you'll see that you're not alone. I can't tell you

whether to have a revision or not, but Dr. Gagner did my stomach

transection after my staple line disruption, and I intentionally

picked him because he is, IMNSHO, far and away the best bariatric

surgeon in the Northeast, and certainly one of the best in the

country. So, should you chose a revision, you will be in very good

hands.

Now, is a revision really necessary? You've lost your Dad and gone

through a divorce, all within the past year. That would set most

people totally off kilter. So, I really don't know that a revision

is the road to take just yet. A few months ago, a group of us

spontaneously went on a 3-day " protein purge. " Many of us had had a

weight gain, some only a few pounds, some much more. What we did was

to try for 3 days of protein shakes to kick the carb habit and,

hopefully, jump-start the weight loss again. It seems for most of

us, it was somewhat successful and got us back on track. If you're

on the Protein list, Jacque and a few others have just started

another 3-day proteinfest, so you may want to jump in and give it a

try. I've found that it always helps to do it with others...keeps

you motivated. I just think you should exhaust all other avenues

before you go back for another surgery. You just have to get

back, to feel that power of being in control again. My money's on

you kid. And stick around...that's what we're here for.
