Jane,

I haven't yet had my surgery, but I can tell you I have migraines very

often. This is one of the major reasons that I will soon be having my

surgery. I can tell you from experience that many things cause them,

and I'm sure it's very normal considering what you've been through. I

think you're right guessing that it's from your nutrition. I'm

hypoglecemic, and when I don't eat right, say on a vacation or during

those crazy weeks filled with errands and appointments that we all

have, I will start getting migraines. I can tell you though that

these migraines you are having is probably not seperate migraines that

you are having everyday, it is probably one long migraine that is

lasting for several days, or longer. Good news is, usually your

doctor, either your OS or maybe even your family physician, should be

able to prescribe you something to take care of it. Normally, once

you get rid of your migraine you won't get another one until something

else triggers it. I know that caffeine is also a great help at

heading mine off before becoming full blown. Make sure you get plenty

of rest and talk to your doc. Take care.

Thanks Cammie,

I haven't had migraines since I was a child. I got in a four wheeler

accident and was knocked unconscience (aslo damaged my jaw and growth

plate which lead to this surgery 17 years later). I saw an

optimologist and he just gave me a mild perscription for glasses that

I ended up not needing. After a while they just went away. I'm

hoping they are just a result of trying to keep this house clean

(which is impossible with a one year old!) lack of fluids and

nutrition. Who knows? I just am dizzy and the other day leaned

against the wall and had a little blackout that lasted only a few

seconds. I took some childrens tylenol and slept when I woke up it

was a lot better. I hope it goes away when my diet gets back to

normal. Thanks for your concern.
