I also suffer from the same thing.. i find it hard each day to get through the day doing what i need to do.. I keep telling my husband and Neuro and Rhemy that how can I sleep all nite and get up and beable to come lay on the sofa all day and sleep. I find myself getting so tired and a feeling of worn out and i did nothing. But the same thing as tracie said the drs told me the same thing,, now I do have sarc lesion in my r/adrenal gland too. So i know mine is not working right.

Many Blessings A.

,

Like you, I suffer from extreme exhaustion. I'll be seeing an endocrinologist the end of May to see if this is adrenal insuffiency. I suspect it is. What happens is that our bodies have been given so much prednisone-- which blocks the adrenals ability to make cortisol-- the bodies own prednisone, and then as time goes on-- whether we stay on pred or not-- the adrenals get so fatigued, that they can't produce of process any more.

The adrenals control your heart rate, your hormones, your energy levels via glucose and other hormones-- and you end up wiped out.

I know the fatigue way too well, it isn't that you're tired-- it isn't like you have the flu, it's like everything you do requires you first move the elephant out of the way-- so that you can take a nap so you can make the next attempt at putting the next sock on.

Damn, I hate this disease.

Hugs,

Tracie

For the past year or so I have been suffering from increasing exhaustion. It has gotten to the point of being difficult to get up and move at all. I'm usually quite bouncy and energetic, during my good periods, that is. One doc says it's the disease. Another blames long-term prednisone, that I am suffering from low cortisol levels. We are trying to adjust the pred. so my dosages are more even, but so far, no help. Anybody else having severe exhaustion? Any suggestions out there?
