Amy,

I am so glad to hear that you are doing well. I have been praying for you and

hoping you were still on the road to recovery. Take it easy and enjoy.

Responding to your post about how you can eventually eat more food. Just now on

the board so I don't know if anyone answered you or not. My dietician said that

your stomach will continue to grow a little while you are healing. The initial

size of the stomach will be smaller than what you will end up with in the end.

She was not talking about stretching the pouch or anything of that nature. It

just tends to grow some and you end up with a little larger pouch that is still

very small compared to your stomach. I hope this helps.

Hi Amy:

Apparently my OD stated that the hooks are attached to the surgical

wires. I have no clue what he is talking about. But he did state it

takes about 2 hours to put the hooks and wires on. How painful are

the hooks? I sure hope not to bad because they will be on for about

a month.

your hooks might be different than mine , mine were put on only for the purpose

of after the surgery to be banded shut. the ortho wanted to do it 5 days before

but i complained si he put them on the day before and it only took him about 30

min.

but good luck to you, it did hurt a bit to have them put on lots of luck

Amy:

Thanks Amy!! I am sure I will be okay. I did get a surgery date

today which is June 28th. The OS office informed me that they like

to have the wires on at least a month before the surgery to have them

settle before the surgery. That's the first time I heard that. But

anyway, at least I now have a date to look forward to.
