I still have to go back to get the skeletal wires out but I'm just glad to actually eat semi solid food! hhah Jo

Guest guest
Congrats, Jane! I have the same feeling on the roof of my mouth as you. I think it's fading away - it's not as bad as it used to be. What kind of elastics will you be wearing? I have normal archwires now (both top and bottom), but the last time I saw my ortho this Wednesday, he said he'll put me in elastics at the next adjustment. Ouch!!! I have no idea why I need it - he is not great with explaining what he's doing. He's a top specialist, but I wish he would explain a little more about what his plan for me is. Oh well.... > > I got my splint out! I got my splint out! > > I ate a cheeseburger! I ate a cheeseburger! > > Ok sorry but 8 weeks postop I had my splint removed. Guest guest
imho, Jane, that's exactly what he is. A " smart-ass surgeon. " I'd be inclined to take him the (icy cold) leftovers of the celebratory steak you tried to eat (if you did) and tell him to enjoy! With a bottle of steak sauce with multiple blue, pink and white ribbons wrapped around the neck. Gawd, he sounds like a piece of work. I would not want him to touch any part of my bod. (and my bod ain't that great!) But hey -- Swedish meatballs and noodles beat Boost all the way around the block! C. > > Jo, uh oh! I probably overdid it!
