Im surprised with people just having lower that i hear 2 elastics splints totally banded sure seems that there are alot of different ways that its done. Cammie i am allways amazed at your insight sense of humor and knowledge. You one day will get the noble orthognathicsurgery support award. My Os is Dr. Day www.dr-day.com he has a md and a dds form harvard very well known on the west coast . There are indeed many different ways the docs approach the time for healing. But if you've been told only lightly banded, even with a splint, you'll have a lot less trouble getting the nutrition in there. Not to say it will be a walk in the park, nor that you shouldn't be careful. But you will probably have a lot easier time than those who need wiring or totally tight banding. So I shall hope for you!
