I haven't read anything about BM odor - please > tell me this is very very rare and only lasts for a > minute or less!!! Thanks, dee Dear Dee, Yes, my BMs are ALOT smellier as a post-op. Fortunately, I usually only have a BM as soon as I wake up and I am done for the day. I never have urgency so if on the rare occasion I need to have another BM during the day, I usually will wait until I am home. The same for passing gas. It smells alot more. I could never " sneak one by " . I am extremely fastidious about personal hygiene and I have never noticed any body odors though. Some post-ops take Devrom and they claim it calms the horrid BM odor. I usually just flush right away and spray with Ozium or Medi-Aire. I keep a 1 oz. spray bottle of Medi-Aire in my purse " just in case " . If I had to list a " downside " to DS, this would be the only one. I do not know anyone who has pleasant smelling BMs, so this isn't so bad. Good luck.
