Dogs and chocolate chips

We adopted a two year old Golden Retriever when my son was 6. We wanted a

dog, but he was always afraid of them. He finally said, with his limited

use of language, that he wanted a DOG not a PUPPY. Very wise, I thought.

No jumping, nipping, scratching and fast, unpredictable movements. We

lucked into a dog that was well trained for showing, but was being sold as a

pet due to skin problems. After a short period of time, they became very

comfortable with each other and the dog will even respond to our son's

commands! Pretty powerful. We love our dog-he's smart, gentle, loyal,

wants to please and very laid back. Think of Shadow in Homeward Bound and

you've got it.

I'm so very excited that Sam's Choice chocolate chips are gfcf.

Unfortunately it looks like you have to find a Wal-Mart with a grocery store

(Super Wal-Mart?) to find them. I've not seen them at a regular store or

Sam's. They taste great and are $1.25 for 12 oz, vs. $2.99/lb plus shipping

for the ones I have been loyally buying from Miss Roben's. We used to buy

Giradelli and Guittards until they started messing with the dairy

contamination issue. Tropical source are pretty good if you can find them,

but I don't think you beat the Sam's price and taste.

C.
