Hi Shauna,

I have to say, I've never felt so disgusting before in my life than

this time recovering from surgery. I feel like a gross 6 year old

kid. You know the one who picks his nose and is pleased when he digs

something up. The one who plays with his food and shows it half

chewed in his mouth and maybe it falls out again? The one that just

seems germy, grimy, and gross. All I need is the frog or snake in my

pocket. Ahhh the wonders and joys of Q-tips and clearer breathing. I

was for weeks poking them up in there and digging around. That's the

first parallel- I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Then there

is eating and drinking... half of it dribbling back out because who

can feel their lower lip and chin? I realized this and then started

jamming the glass up to my mouth to the point I ended up with

irritated raw skin and a split open corner of my mouth! Of course,

could I feel it?? I love it when I'm reading and notice part of the

paper slowly darken and wrinkle up wondering.... what the?...

revelation. OH! Drooooool. Nice. Hand goes for the chin... almost

misses it because it's in a new and unfamiliar place. The chin is wet

too. Oh and my clothes have spots. What isn't a spot of drool is a

spot of food or drink I missed from earlier. You may be able to

relate??!! Glad to share the humor and giggles. I've certainly read

enough now that I relate to way tooooo well. :) Do share if you have

any good stories! Take care, Katja :)

You are too funny! But, it is so true, isn't it. (We sure hope we

are not scaring any of you who have not had surgery yet, but we all

know it happens.) Have a great one. Thanks for another great

laugh!
