Guest guest
Let's see... things to add to my box of surgery need-to-haves .... drool bibs, plastic shower curtain. Absolutely loved this... And people are right about the humor. Plus, from a medical standpoint, I believe laughter releases endomorphines which help relieve pain. Or some other such non-sense. I am looking forward to the day when I can sit on a shower curtain with my granddaughter and eat/fingerpaint chocolate pudding. She just turned a year old. And to Lacie's Aunt: I have been so self conscious about my mouth and teeth. Wouldn't smile 'big', hated to have my pictures taken, my chin recedes a bit so my nose looks bigger... I can't believe the difference just having my braces on and seeing the movement has made in my self-confidence. I even stand taller. I think with you being there, and the support from this group, it will be a good thing for Lacie. Glad I could shed some light on the anxiety. Sometimes just being 'aware' can releive a lot of those feelings. I'm feeling more and more comfortable with the concept of my surgery. I have an appointment with my Orthodontist on the 21 and am looking forward to it. Will have better questions for him this time. Off to teach the little ones.
