We sell our flour to no other company. I'm sure this is confusing to all the other companies in the US who are using these ingredients, especially the common ones like tapioca and potato. Authorized to sell?....by who? Now we're a Canadian company and I don't claim to know every regulation but I am not aware of any restrictions, regulations or anything else which regulates the use of these flours. (and can't imagine that there could be any...) Maybe these folks are trying to Microsoft you... This would be kind of humorous if it weren't for the " This information could protect your health! " ...marketing by scare tactics...I'd call them on this...ask them to provide some backup to these claims...(one more reason to take everything you read on the internet with a very large dose of skepticism.. A few minutes later.... hmmmmmmm...now I'm even more disturbed...I just went to the specialfoods site and saw the following. " If you have obtained baked products from the above list from another source, BEWARE! The baked product does not contain what the ingredients list on the package. The Department of Agriculture has obtained and analyzed samples of some bogus products and found them to be virtually 100% wheat. " If I was a US gluten free manufacturer...I'd be calling a lawyer...this is at best misleading, and at worst...just an out and out mistruth...to paint all manufacturers with the same brush and make some vague reference to a government agency to make it sound more official is simply irresponsible. Oh and BTW, I AM pretty sure that the FDA (who is in fact the regulator of such things and NOT the DOA) has a developed system of rather large fines and recalls for companies who have undeclared ingredients... ---------------------------------------------- Jay Bigam Webmaster/Marketing Manager Kinnikinnick Foods Inc. www.kinnikinnick.com Toll Free: 1- --- End forwarded message ---
