Guest guest
Wow! I bet a genetic counselor just hangs their mouth open when they hear this! How are you doing with the pregnancy? You about ready yet? Jenn > > > > Hello! So glad to have you here. I have 2, ....and another on > the way, ages 7 yr, 2 yr, and obviously not born yet. Guest guest
That's great! Seems like he would be an excellen peds ortho since he's already gone through this before, so he knows what it's like. Tell him to keep up the good work with the research! Jenn > > > > > > Hello! Guest guest
We don't live near St.L, but it is the same distance to drive to either SL or Iowa. Been going to Iowa but it gets expensive after a while, kwim? I've heard great things about Dobbs, it's always nice to hear more though, thanks No one else had it when my 1st was born, but I'm remarried and these second two babies - their dad's brother and a nephew had cf. So curious here, could someone knock you over with a feather when you realized all your kids would end up with cf? I kind of expected the 2nd one, but #3 really blew me away for a few days. s. 3 for 3 > > > We have three boys (Todd 4 1/2, 2 1/2, Grant 10 months) all > born with clubfoot. Guest guest
Welcome, Katrina! I just had to comment you had good taste in names. My 3 month old is named Grant Philip. He was born with spina bifida and bilateral clubfeet. My oldest, Rose, was born with unilataral left clubfoot. I also have two non-clubfooted kiddos. When Rose was a baby she was treated by Dr. Ponseti and Dr. Dobbs was training with him at the time. Guest guest
I just find it amazing to hear about multiple children with clubfeet in the same family. There just has to be a trigger of some sort. I mean, once is fairly rare...twice, unexpected, but three times? I can't wait for Dr. Dobbs to finish his research. Hopefully that will shed more light on the matter. > > > > Hello! So glad to have you here. I have 2, ....and another on > the way, ages 7 yr, 2 yr, and obviously not born yet. Guest guest
That's great about the genetic research; dobbs has asked us to participate too. s. 3 for 3 > > > > > > We have three boys (Todd 4 1/2, 2 1/2, Grant 10 months) > all > > born with clubfoot. Guest guest
Katrina, I am in St. Louis, and Dr. Dobbs is my son's doctor too. Welcome to the group. There are quite a few of Dr. Dobbs' patients here. I only have one clubfoot child, Sammy 15 months. Hope to hear more about you! > > We have three boys (Todd 4 1/2, 2 1/2, Grant 10 months) all > born with clubfoot. We are being treated in St. Louis by Dr. > Dobbs. Anyone else in the St. Louis area?
