Guest guest
My #3 PDD son licks when he eats a " bad food " . For him, it is regression to the oral/baby stage. He will lick things and put objects and his hands into his mouth. Once the bad food is removed, he stops licking things. I have not updated my hand-licking opinion to include this information, but here it is for you, in case you do not believe your child's licking is a regression thing. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/handlick.htm > > My daughter has recently started licking things (her hands, my LEG!). Guest guest
That was my thought as well, that the child may be seeking salt - not necessarily a bad thing. Maybe a bit of salt on food could be in order. Or maybe not, but just a suggestion. Guest guest
I think it may be a sensory issue. Thanx for all the advice/suggestions. ----Original Message Follows---- Reply-To: GFCFKids To: GFCFKids Subject: Re: Licking Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2001 21:07:04 -0500 That was my thought as well, that the child may be seeking salt - not necessarily a bad thing.
