Hello everyone :-)

I was just reading the posts regarding Cigna and PicificCare and wondered

what people's experiences has been with Cigna HMO and Dr. Rabkin, SF.

I'm scheduled for the initial consult this coming Wednesday, 9/12 and I'm

hearing conflicting information regarding what Cigna will cover and won't

and even if Dr. Rabkin is a listed provider.

At first I heard that Dr. Rabkin wasn't on the preferred provider list and

then, low and behold, today I call and he is on the list...hmmmmm. Did this

just happen? Dr. Jossart used to be on the list and now he's not

(puzzling). My initial referral was authorized for Dr. Jossart and now I

have to change it asap to Dr. Rabkin if I'm going to try to have Cigna cover

the consult fees. HELP!!!!!

Also, what I've been told is that Cigna HMO will pay 100% after the intial

$1,000 yearly out of pocket has been met for out of network providers. But

now Dr. Rabkin is listed in-network???? Supposedly they'll pay 100% now,

right?! What does that realistically calculate out to? Is is truly 100% or

is that just " customary " fees?

I must admit I'm confused and looking for someone's experience with them to

help guide my way. Would appreciate any feedback.

Getting the insurance run-around...
