Protein Thoughts and Pushy Docs

Two things -

In reading about the problems getting enough protein,

I wonder why not put the tasteless protein powder in

yougurt and then eat it. Or add it to the water that

we have to drink? Especially for people right after

surgery who can't eat alot. Would this work?

Also, I don't know if I said it already but when I was

given approval for a consult for WLS, I was given Dr.

Osloff's (sp?) name... and I found out he's at UCSF

and his surgeon there does the RNY only. (Part time

and not very much experience too). I've been fighting

Pacificare for the DS since.

Anyway, I've had several phone calls from the doc's

office for me to make the appointment. I've been a

bad girl - forgetting to call back to tell them I want

Dr. Rabkin instead. Last week, I had a message that

" your appointment is on 12-13 " . And today, I got a

packet in the mail for me to fill out before going

there on the 13th. I swear, I've had other referrals

for other things and none have them have been so

insistent that I see them!

I just thought of a question - I have my consult with

Dr Rabkin next month. Should I have the psyche eval

before seeing him? Or after?

They make protein powder with no taste? I think that would be marvelous for

some of us.
