Guest guest
Sally, As a regainer, I can tell you that I got so busy with life I didn't make time to eat properly. I went to a family party and wanted to show how " normal " I was and had an ice cream cone, I dumped like the dickens. From there I went back to sugar, less amounts, but building up. A handful of frozen choc. chips in place of meals, was my downfall, easy, quick and yummy. Don't do it, I'm trying to reset my dump-o-meter as they call it. I got so involved in the community that I didn't make time for meals. I called it " grab and stab " just something " quick and easy " because we were/are always on the go. At first I gained a few pounds thought to myself, " oh I can get that off, no problem, I'll just do protein, water and walk " Then it got worse and worse until I'm up to approximately +35 pounds. Now I " m peddling back as fast as I can hoping I can lose this and get to goal (which I've never reached). I broke the rules, pure and simple. Carbs, sugar, drinking with meals, carbonation, eating too fast, I did it all. So did my dh, that's why he's regained so much. But, we are working on it together and already losing. It's our weekly date to weigh and encourage each other each day to get our shakes and water in. This is probably way more than you wanted to know but wanted to share how I/we fell into the trap.
