Guest guest
Sorry to hear about Aidan's troubles. 8 months would be a hard time to be re-casted, especially since he was starting to get around. From what other's have said on here, I wouldn't be surprised if he figures out how to get around even with casts eventually! I don't really have much to help, I'm sure you've tried all the toys/books/games you can think of. Do you have other kids? My daughter loved to just sit & watch her big brother & sister play & run around. If not, maybe you can take him to Chuck E. Cheese or something & let him watch the kids or something. Hope it works out for you! > > Aidan who is almost 8 months old with Bi-lateral clubfoot had his > second tenotomy on Tuesday. Guest guest
Don't you worry! Aidan will figure it out in no time. My son went into casts at 10 months old and had no problem crawling and even standing in the casts. When he went into the shoes and bar he was very frustrated for about 24 hours until he learned how to flip his feet over in it. The next day he was crawling and cruising in it. He did end up having a delay in walking-he was 19 months old before he walked. But the physical therapist said it was due to weak calf muscles from being in the casts and shoes. He's two now and is running all over the place. You would never know he ever had anything wrong with his feet. and 11/10/03 bilateral cf dbb 14/7 > > Aidan who is almost 8 months old with Bi-lateral clubfoot had his > second tenotomy on Tuesday.
