Guest guest
Hi Todd, I'm way way preop. But I wanted to encourage you to post your questions to the group. The questions and answers are so helpful to the rest of us waiting. Hope you are doing well, Beth > > Hello Everyone, > > My name is Todd. I am 1wk post-op and getting better everyday. Guest guest
Hi Todd. If you'll post your questions, you will probably get answers in the group. No one person knows everything, and experiences are greatly varied, so you'll get more info by posting. Just a suggestion. I am not critical of any way anybody wants to link to another consenting adult for information, support or whatever. What are your problems posting and finding answers? There's an archive search on the home page, and you can post a search word or two (e.g.: splint, numbness, wired, congestion) and come up with some posts. It's a bit ponderous, as you have to keep going back, and back and back, but not hard to do. Warning: there is no typical experience that I've ever found. Some people are wired for a day, some not at all, some for six or eight weeks. Same thing with the splint. Same thing with the numbness, and with exercising and with the tingles of nerve regeneration and opening the jaw and eating. It just depends on your own body and what was done to and for it. So the " how long " questions everyone has are almost impossible to answer. Realistically, your surgeon has the best answers for you on that one. Which will not stop you from posting them, I know. Nor has it, anyone else. It's a frustrating wait, sometimes. Best. I can't be here reliably enough, just now, to try to help you in e-mails -- and I'm no professional, either. But post, and I will try to answer those things I have ideas about. It will get better. That much I know. Just not how soon, nor how much! Cammie > > Hello Everyone, > > My name is Todd.
