Guest guest
Aspirin? You may want to consult the files section on NSAIDS,etc. Aspirin is bad for our pouches, according to many of the grads on this list, who got it from their docs. I remember my PCP being worried about my liver enzymes being high at my 6 weeks labs, but they resolved by my next blood test. How far out are you? Guest guest
Tracey, I'm finding that my levels go up and down quite a bit. My last readings show 493 with normal readings to be 70-250. My highest reading has been 534. Since keeping track of the liver counts, mine have never been in the normal range. I did mention this on the list recently and milk thistle was suggested by a few. I haven't tried it yet as it is difficult to find here in Denmark. I did finally find it and am now in the process of translating the label...lol. A nurse here explained to me that it is the fat content in our food that raises our levels. My husband piped in and told her I avoid fats completely. Well of course, this is not possible completely. I don't know accurate this is. I do know from reading that milk thistle is supposed to cleanse the liver. On another note...to those who have written to me...I have so much going on right now. Please forgive me if I am so slow to write back. My family and I are trying to get ready for our move home back to Florida. Everything I own was in storage back home. Trying to find jobs and a new place to live. Last month, I was told that my belongings were auctioned (illegally) back in December. I am now told they were stolen but I cannot file a report unless I am present. I do mean everything near and dear to me and my kids were in a " secure " storage unit. My ex-husband retired from the Navy. I had a court ordered garnishment for child support and 33% of his retirement. Now he changed his retirement over to a 90% VA disability. I can't touch it unless I go back to court. The retirement is one thing but I need the child support. Ever try to feed 3 teenagers??? AND I'm going to a new plastic surgeon on Aug. 5th for an approved revision of the abdominplasty and a breast lift. It's a good thing I can't eat as much when stressed. I'd be back where I used to be! Dawn
