Guest guest
I am curious when some parents of older CF kids moved their little ones to a toddler or big kid bed. Addison is 18 months old and still in her crib, and I'm planning to leave her there until she's around 2ish - or maybe longer. She cannot crawl out of the crib with the DBB on (at least she hasn't even tried to, and I'm not sure she could physically do it anyway). When you did move to a bed, was it a toddler bed or regular bed? On the floor or elevated somewhat? And was it up against a wall? Addison sleeps up against the side of the crib - I think it is more comfortable for her. Thanks! Addison, 7/3/04, bcf, DBB 14/
Guest guest
Hi We moved our son when he was about 18 months to a bed shaped like a car with a roof so it has sides to it.He is such a wriggle in bed. This has worked well with him and he is now nearly 3 and still in it. He is no good in a single bed yet as he moves to much and I would prob have to put two cot sides on it but you can get those mesh one so it wouldn't be too bad I suppose but he is ok in his car for a minute. It also has a plastic mattress so good for toilet training. He has been dry in the day since he was 2 and 3 months but still has a nappy on at night - not quite ready for that yet!!! When I change his bed I will have to repaint one wall which has been scratched and chipped by his FAB!!!!!! Rach, Steve & Connor -- When to move to toddler bed? Guest guest
Kelsey has been sleeping in her toddler bed since she was about 18 months old. She could not sleep in her crib because she was constantly waking herself up at night banging the FAB against the bars. She had been sleeping in her pack and play since 12 months but it was no longer working for her either. We have the toddler bed up against the wall and a bed rail along the outside so she is still pretty secure. She is now just over 2 and has been doing great. Guest guest
Kelsey is banging that brace into the wall every night. My husband is toying with putting padding on the walls around her bed so she doesn't damage the plaster. When she lays up there and cannot fall asleep, she kind of rhythmically bangs the brace into the wall.
