Traveling Out of Town - Nervous

Hey Guys,

I'm planning to travel out of town this weekend for a few days. Not far, just

four hours away. I'm really nervous as this is my first trip since not feeling

well and being diagnosed with Crohn's. I'm trying to think of everything to make

this as pleasant as possible, so I thought you guys might offer some advice.

" To-Do's " and " Not-To-Do's " sort of stuff. I think I have a decent food plan.

Lots of snacks to bring along in the cooler, and put in the fridge when I get

there.

Yogurt, Frozen Banana Pancakes (thanks to Misty for the recipe), Apple Sauce,

Cheese Cubes, Spinach Cheese Bake, Egg Cupcakes, Homemade Sausage, and maybe

some of those yummy sounding crackers lin posted recently. Lots of stuff

that can be made at home and reheated when I get there.

Here is what I can eat so far: Chicken, Carrots, Yogurt, Honey, Dry Curd Cheese,

Eggs, Olive Oil, Vanilla Extract, Lemon Juice, Butter, Fish, Ground Beef,

Turkey, Apple Sauce, Cheddar Cheese, Butternut Squash, Tomato Juice, Banana,

Zucchini, Parmesan, Spinach, Avocado, Swiss Cheese, Tomato, and Mushroom (all

well cooked where necessary of course).

Any other food suggestions?

Any common pit falls I should avoid? I'll be staying with my very health food

conscious father and will be visiting the local health food stores when I get

there for restocking.

Any suggestions not food related? My symptoms are thankfully mild and limited to

mild digestion pain about mid-day on. Even my D cleared up after 11 days on the

diet (that was very cool to see), so I'm not worried about that stuff if I can

keep away from illegals (but maybe I should be?).

Anyway, just generally being paranoid about being away from my familiar

surroundings. Any advice appreciated :) Thanks, everyone!
