As of 11:00 AM ET on May 18, 2009 the Centers for Disease Control and

Prevention (CDC) is reporting 5,123 laboratory confirmed and probable

cases and 5 deaths from novel H1N1 influenza in the United States.

Investigations and surveillance are ongoing. As this situation unfolds,

the CDC is committed to providing information to its partners, so that you can

stay informed and communicate accurate information to your constituents.
