I agree with the idea and irritation about the RNY being referred to

as the gold standard. I think that it is because it is more readily

available. Ford vs. Volvo is great!

It's easy to find a Ford dealer and some may refer to it as the " gold

standard " American car, but that doesn't mean it's better - just more

widely available, kwim??

it must be the same moderator. Nonnie is her name, and she's a total " RNY

is the way to go " person, which is such a crock. She was totally attacking

DSers...told one that if she really cared about her health, she'd have the

RNY and stop fighting the ins company. Bitch.
