Guest guest
Since I have had the surgery, I am unable to stomach fast food of any kind. I still can not eat red meat which is okay. I can not eat anything with sugar. I tried to eat one M & M yesterday and my stomach just started hurting. I try something new to see what my stomach will do. I can not eat lettuce because it does not digest easy. Do any of you experience any of these food issues? I suppose its all good since my objective was to lose weight. I was just wondering if I will ever be able to eat something normal. My diet consists of Teriyaki Chicken Chunks ($5.00 each bag), Crystal Light -Tea (3 Liters), baked chicken (love it), any vegetable (Yeah!), and Honey Roasted Nuts (Yeah again). Oh, I also eat bananas. This is the only foods that I can handle otherwise, I would be in the bathroom all day if I ate something like Pizza or sandwich or anything fried (Yuck!)..... I have gotten used to eating these items. One month, Heidelberg didn't get Teriyaki Chicken Chunks shipment in and I was dying. I called around to other Army installations to find this food item and it was no where. I was so sick for that month because I get most of my protein from that food product. When March rolled around and our shipments came in for the grocery store (commissary), I was there to see if it arrived. Several of the people who work there already knew what I was looking for. One gentleman had a case saved for me. I was so thankful. Now when I go to the store, the same person always tells me, "I just stocked up on Chicken Chunks, and we ordered more for you." I just smile with my big cheezy grin. I truly am blessed. BEEisMe wrote: By the way, if you are unaware of this... almost all the fast food places now have the bunless burger/chicken... Guest guest
I'm 13 months post op, and it took me until I was 9 months before I was okay with much of anything except protein. I still can't stomach any sugar at all, kicks my butt for many hours. I can eat small amount of red meat, but not much. I don't do carbs. I eat seafood of all sorts, chicken anyway it's made except fried, small amounts of banana, and any vegetables I want now. Sounds like we're a lot alike in this. I have adapted to this well and it is just fine. Take care. Donna J. Junior wrote: Since I have had the surgery, I am unable to stomach fast food of any kind.
