Guest guest
dear Marla, first off i want to say how sorry i am to hear u had such a horrible time at the er. I have been on that side of the er at times... but i want to give credit where do.. Last Saturday nite one of those NS head pain hit and very quick..i was in so much pain , sick and my right eye was drooped and was spasm.. so bad i couldn't see to walk. Sheriff took me to the er and the triage nurse was standing there and saw me and took me into a room and looked in my eyes and took my bp and called back and said i need bed asap.. she put me in a wheel chair and when she got me to the room the dr was standing there waiting for me. he got one look at me and said is this scares me.. the look of your face and eye... i said the droop of my eye is normal but the spasm of my eye is new.. i was crying i was in so much pain. he said lets start by getting the pain meds on board. within a min or less there was a nurse starting an i'v and started with dalaudid 2mg ... within a few seconds i felt funny but it just numbed the pain for a lil bit. ... he said dalaudid is the strongest we have here...than another nurse came in and said the dr wrote for open dose of 2mg as needed to break the pain.. well to shorten the story... i ended up with 9 doses of 2mg and 1 dose of adivan...and thannnnn whaoooo what releif. he looked at my MRI had done a few days b4 and saw my lesion and said it didn't grow since last mri and no bleed. He was the most wonderful dr i had in a ER in a long time... so after the last dose and the adivan i said if i could go home to sleep he said let me get u out of here.. He didn't try to even attempt to know about NS.. just that i was in pain and he was going to fix it. the next day I called the ER. and left a message for him thanking him for his care and that i am sure that they get many complaints but.. here was a good word for you... sorry so long.. and again Marla sorry for your trip to the er.. went so bad. many blessings and pain free days
