How long do you have to wear it? I'm guessing a week or so? Just

wondering because I'm considering getting some more piercings for my

ears. Although they'd be healed by the time of the surgery, I won't

pierce it until after surgery if the wraps going to squish all the

piercings onto my ear for a long time.

I'm talking about a rook and a tragus if anyone wanted to get

specific. =] I just realised - I bet they make you remove piercings

for the surgery huh? [i'm just worried they'll close up surgery/

recovery!] .. (SIGH) I should just play it safe and get it after

surgery.

Hi- you won't be allowed to wear any jewellery during surgery. I had

to remove all of mine. I would consider waiting until all of this is

over until you get the piercings. One less thing to worry about and

it would really be awful if your ears got infected (as mine did when

I first got pierced) and then you had something else to worry about.

However, you can wear earrings after. I would choose some smalls

studs. You have to wear the jaw wrap for the first week (I did). Cold

compressions for one week and then heat the week after that.

Cheers, Jen
