Endure (you didn't sign your name) nature made us that way. We are designed

to do everything we can to satisfy hunger. It is one of our survival

instincts.

Our memories of what it is we are actually eating is not always correct. You

have to be brutally honest with yourself and record every morsel you eat and

drink in fitday.com. Once you can visually see what is happening you can the

proceed to find a remedy. You did not mention exercise. If you are not,

just 20 minutes will make a difference.

I was done losing on 11 months out. Now at almost 3 1/2 years out I am up a

bit and not happy about it. I am exercising and watching but seem to have

no control. I had an UPPER GI last year - everything was in tact. I had a

scope in December and all appeared to be fine there. I am not hungry, no

reflux, no pain and no health insurance till 8/1/03. So I guess I just have

to bide my time and see.

I have reduced my shakes from 3 to 1 per day - afraid of the extra calories.

I think we proximals have a harder time when it comes to bounce back than

the distals.

I am 22 months out and have starte loosing again after 10 or 12 months.

SOme of mine was eliminating the sugar and simple carbs like mashed

potatoes. Don't give up hope. I am realizing that I go more for protein

now and love it.
