Guest guest
I have been reading alot about these supplements that your kids > (everyone on list, not just Dawn) take. How do you > decide which ones and how much? I do not have access > to a DAN dr near us. My son takes CLO, the multi from kirkmans (not the super nu-thera), and flax oil in his soy milk. Once in a while I try some new ones to see if there's a difference. He took so many when we first started out, and I am a little nervous about the stress that it puts on his liver. All kids are different, what makes a huge difference to one, does nothing for another child. You just have to try out the supplements that your interested in, I think. He was stuck at 29 lbs. for a long time, and in the last six monthes he has jumped to 36 lbs. (he's 3 1/2), I think that the supplements are an important factor in restoring intestinal health so that they can start absorbing nutrients properly. I think that it's also important to work with a teacher or therapist when you are trying new supplements. His teacher could always see a difference in his concentration level when we ran out of flax seed oil. I couldn't tell, because he's 3 1/2 and I don't require him to sit and do something at home if he doesn't want to. But at school his teacher does, and she is a wonderful help. Good luck, Dawn
