Guest guest
is on her fifth week of casting for bcf and the past two casts, when removed, have revealed a very tight anterior tendon on her right foot. At the bend of the foot, on the top, the little tendon is visible. This foot is currently fully corrected and in a holding cast waiting for the left foot to catch up. She will not need a tenotomy on this foot. Her orthopedist was not concerned and stated that is unusual but it doesn't seem to be restricting her movement, but it bothers me. It was not evident at first...just after these last two casts. Has anyone heard of this or had it with their child? I keep obsessing that she has one of these " atypical club feet " which are not fat and typically atypical, if that makes sense. (Her orthopedist doesn't think her foot is atypical.) I don't have a clue how to tell but I have just enough knowledge to make me dangerous, so to speak...and to cause me to worry. Thanks for any help, Carol and , bcf, 10-27-05, serial casting
