Guest guest
I've been told by my surgeon and his staff that we can have diet pop after the carbonation settles. They suggest we let it sit for about 10 minutes before drinking it. I've given up my diet coke. I'd prefer not to have it sit and drink it warm. I usually drink diet sprite or 7up mixed with fruit juices or even gatorade. The pop gives them a little kick. So far I haven't had any trouble as long as I let it sit for a bit. I've also starting drinking diet fago which isn't too bad. Laurette 4/23/04 St. Charity, Cleveland, Ohio 309/290@surgery/265/???
Guest guest
You need to remember everyone is different, you and I could have the same doctor and what works for you may not work for me and vice-versa. After my surgery I was throwing up every morning, it wasn't normal, it was bile. I suffered several complications, one was a small bowel obstruction, which required a hospital stay and two enemas, so anything that helps the food break-down is one in my book. Coca-Cola Question > > > Has anyone heard that a small amount of Coca-Cola will unclog your pouch if you accidentally didn't chew well enough? I was talking with my Aunt who is going to be having surgery on the 8th and she told me about this. I was under the impression that if you didn't chew ... you throw it up or wait. Thanks in advance for your help. > > Vandever > LAP RNY 4-6-04 > 305/256/165 > >
Guest guest
I pour my Fresca into a large glass and leave it in the refrigerator for anywhere from one to three hours until it gets flat. You would be surprised how quickly you get used to drinking it flat, and how nasty fully carbonated beverages taste after. If I am in a hurry, I pour the drink back and forth between two glasses 20 or so times..... instant decarbonation! Helena (papa11h@...) Guest guest
I have heard that if you put a packet of sweetener like splenda or sweet n low into your soda it will take the carbonation out also.
