Dear ,

Protein breaks down after about 30 min and can make you sick.. That is why

you shouldnt mix it the night before. Why dont you start putting your protein

powder in a nice , dry water bottle, and just before you leave for work, add

water, and ice if desired, and shake,.. Ready to go protein.. lots of us do

this.. keep water bottles dry and filled with our favorite to go protein powder

so all we have to do is add water, shake and drink..

Or .. you can invest in a few cans of protein .. pre mixed .. from GNC or

Vitalady.. that you can keep in the fridge, on the counter, etc.. and grab one

each morning as you go out the door.. convenient , but pricey and the volume

is too much for me in these..

Take care

Peachy hugs,

You are supposed drink it within a half hour of mixing, any longer then that

the protein starts to break down. Are you shaking or using hand blender? I

use the chocolate whey stack and it shakes very easy. I also found these

little glad disposable containers that are just the right size for a scoop

and a half so I pre-measure the powder out. Then I pack my little

containers, my funnel and I am off. From there I either use a water bottle

if I have one on me or I will buy a bottle of water and drink it down to

about six ounces then pour in my powder. This has been working pretty well

for me.

Protein Powder question

I am trying to drink some protein in the morning and remember reading

somewhere that mixing it the night before causes something to happen

to it. Like it loses potency or something?? I have a hard time

getting it all mixed and ready to go in the morning so if I could mix

it the night before, that would be great but I think there is a

reason that you aren't supposed to. Does anyone know the answer

here??

No one has mentioned buying it in cans and keeping it in the fridge. Other

than price, is there something wrong with the ready made cans.

There is nothing wrong with the pre mixed cans.. just a lot of volume to get

down to achieve the same 30 gms of protein.. I will occasionally go and get a

can of protein if I am out at the mall and forget to bring a pre mixed water

bottle.. one that I need to add water too.. I just find the volume.. usually 12

oz in a can to be a bit overwhelming for me.

I haven't found any protein drink in cans that I find even remotely

appetizing. Those of you who use canned protein drinks, which ones do you

use? I tried the GNC one, and a few others, and they were absolutely

undrinkable!

You're swapping protein for bacteria if you let it sit much more than 30 in

or so.

So, measure out your dry ingredients at night, & then in the morning, add

water, shake it up as you go out the door
