Guest guest
, although I stayed in the recliner most of the day (and I guess I did do some sleeping there) I slept in my bed at night. I used three pillows propped against the headboard and it worked fine. > > Hi everyone > I'm having my surgery on Friday (upper/lower/genio & wisdom teeth) > and I had a question for those of you who didn't have recliners to > sleep in. Guest guest
I went to Home Outfitters (in Canada) and bought a " bed pillow " which is a support with arms that is typically used to support one while reading or watching tv in bed (sort of like a padded wedge with arms). Then I also bought some flat cushions to put in it so I wouldn't be angled up quite so far. It worked well, even had pockets in it for my lip balm : ) The advantage of this is that it's harder to roll over onto your side and the pillows don't slip. > > Hi everyone > I'm having my surgery on Friday (upper/lower/genio & wisdom teeth) > and I had a question for those of you who didn't have recliners to > sleep in. Guest guest
I also purchased a sleeping wedge (I think it was 40 degree angle) at a medical supply store and I used that (lower jaw 7/15/04). In fact, I still use it now for reading in bed. I didn't have a recliner at all and I just carried the sleeping wedge between the couch and my makeshift bed for the time being (the futon in our guest bedroom on the first floor). Good luck, Helen > > Hi everyone > I'm having my surgery on Friday (upper/lower/genio & wisdom teeth) > and I had a question for those of you who didn't have recliners to > sleep in. Guest guest
Ooh you're getting exactly the same surgery I am.. (even the wisdom teeth!) Although mine's a far ways off, I hope you'll have an update! I don't have a recliner either but I plan to use my computer chair which is really big and comfortable.
