Guest guest
>>Sometime I get chills hearing how little some of the post ops actually knew before they had their surgeries.<< I admit I was one of those pre ops who did no research on this surgery except for a couple seminars I attended. Hence, I've done a lot of research on what I have to do to get and stay healthy. In retrospect, I wish I had done more; however, I do not regret for one minute having had this surgery. It has given me back my life and my desire to live and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Beth

For some people, I think it is easier to just say, " My doctor didn't tell me to do that, " and then just go on with their tums or whatever. I think that many surgeon's offices are realizing that they need to do more education, but there is only so much they can do. We have to be willing to research issues for ourselves, not just with weight loss surgery, but with any medical issues that might come up. I agree, the surgery gives us the opportunity to have our lives back. Good for you that you are taking advantage of that opportunity by learning what you need to do to stay healthy now.
