Guest guest
Janet, I understand how you feel, I went through a similar situation after my surgery in 1999. First, I suffered an infection which had to heat from the inside-out. That meant 3 months of visits from nurses, twice a day. Second, I came down with a small bowel obstruction 2 months after surgery, spending 3 more days in the hospital. After which my surgeon had me step back one level of food (soft foods and diary products) and I decided to consume only milk and yogurt. That put me in the hospital, again, with double vision and a gait my walk. At this point I was diagnosed with Ataxia (loss of coordination) and I still walk with a cane and may need a walker soon (I am 42). What still bothers me is the fact that I did this to myself. To make matters worse, in the past 3 years, I have put back on 80 pounds and exercise is not an option because one of the reasons for my surgery was osteoarthritis in both knees. You are not alone. Janet, if you someone to Just listen I am here, I will listen.
