Guest guest
I can give you my opinion -- mushy stools are OK [grin]. I deal with chronic constipation, requiring daily doses of Miralax and magnesium just to keep things moving. So mush is acceptable to me; solid and firm trophies that hold together in the toilet bowl means nothing will have moved for days and I'm in great discomfort and resorting to enemas to get movement. I pay more attention to things like stools sticking to the sides of the toilet bowl, looking shiny, really watery several times in a row, or full of undigested food. And color, of course, don't want to see any evidence of blood. or the canary yellow that indicates I have a bile duct blockage... As long as you're feeling OK, not having other symptoms, then I wouldn't worry about formed stools that turn to mush. My personal opinion is that our stools are bound to look different on SCD than before, since our foods are better digested. Firm and solid trophies might be a sign of our bodies struggling to eliminate the grains and starches that weren't fully digested... I haven't come across any discussion of this aspect in any of my research as yet, but it seems logical to me. Kim M. The main thing I am doing differently is some fresh fruit. If I don't do this, I have solid trophys, but after a while, I get C. I can't seem to get this right. I would appreciate any advice.PJ
Guest guest
Thanks, It's just interesting to see the changes on SCD but if it's part of the healing process, then that is good.
