Hi all, I was wondering if any of you know how long I have to wait

between taking my calcium doses. I know we can only absorb upto 500mg

at a time, but I can't find anywhere that says when we can absorb

again. I want to make sure I am not shooting myself in the foot.

Thanks - sara

Most pharmacists tell you to wait at least 2 hours between doses of

" conflicting " drugs, so I'm guessing 2-3 hours between doses would be best. I

usually

take my pills in 4 doses, with meals, over the course of the day. Exception is

iron and C, which I do very early am on an empty stomach.

The digestive system usually clears itself out in three hours, so three

hours would be my SWAG (Scientific Wild Ass Guess).
