Good luck Fran. I have been thinking about you all week! I look forward to

your update.

I'm trying to remember where you live. Are you from Montana?

Did I ask you to find out about incisions on the outside of the cheek?

Fran, good luck tomorrow! I just got my appointment with Dr. West

today -- I'll be meeting with him for the first time in May. I'm

interested in accommodations, too, and the facility where the surgery

will be performed.

This may be silly, but I have been wondering lately if I should bring

pictures to my appointment, to say, I want a chin like THIS. You know,

sort of like how you bring pictures of the hairstyle you want to the

salon. I know, probably unrealistic. But I am just so anxious to know

what I'm going to look like after all this, and whether the difference

it's going to make in my looks will be worth the $12,000 or so I'm

spending.

Anyway, good luck!

Hi Fran,

It sounds like many on this board who have had lower jaw surgery have also

had their chins worked on. I'm having lower advancement, but working on my

chin wasn't mentioned at my initial consult. I'm curious as to when this

would be decided. Right away or after we see what the braces have done?

Thanks again.

Hi Diane,

I added that question to my list. I am getting really excited. To

make sure I don't forget anything, I have copied the posts and

previous questions, and my own questions to a sheet I have printed

out! Dr West is probably going to roll his eyes when he sees it!

lol I will let you know what I find out.

Hi Diane,

I am a Northwest native. I live near Tacoma, just south of

Seattle. Fortunately it isn't far for me to travel. And since my

OD and dentist (who was a former patient of Dr West) are nearby, I

don't think I will have to stay 10 minutes from his office either.

I hope anyway.

Thanks for the well wishes! I am calm and nervous at the same

time! lol I will definately let you know!

Hugs,

Fran
