Guest guest
The tricky part of taking a chlorophyll supplement is knowing the source of the chlorophyll. Most come from seaweed, which is gelatinous polysaccharide in structure, making it off-limits while on SCD. I would guess that some sources are algae or grains like alfalfa. I haven’t looked at these chemical structures, but I would suspect they are also polysaccharide. I suppose there is a chance that the extraction process might break the polysaccharide chains down into the monosaccharide components, but I would want to know someone has tested it to be certain. I would choose a whole food source of chlorophyll from the list of permitted SCD foods before trying a supplement…. Kim M. SCD 6 years Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction 6+ years neurological & spinal deterioration 3+ years >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hi there. someone just jogged my memory and reminded me of something I used to take religiously - chorophyll and I was never anemic. I always had a high iron count. I looked it up on the SCD list and didn't find any illegals in it, so I wondered why people don't talk about it more often on this list. I wished I would have remembered years ago when my CD became severe and I needed transfusions. Check out this article as well for all it's benefits: http://proliberty.com/observer/20011010.htm I trust Marilyn will correct me if I am wrong about SCD compliance. CD - 4 yrs. SCD - 3 1/
