Guest guest
My daughter have 1 leg longer than the other. She is 4 months old. She was treated with the Ponseti method (not fully at first) the Dr. didnt know what he was doing, but she had a Tenotomy and then 3 more casts after that casue Dr. Ponseti fully corrected her after we traveled to see him cause the other Dr was an idiot. Anyhow, her current Dr. and another Ortho are currently trying to find WHY her leg is longer than the other. She has an appt. next Mon. to get more x-rays and an Ultrasound. The only thing said so far is maybe hip probs (by no real other symptoms of this so less likely), and the old saying that if you cut a tendon it can mess things up, and it CAN (not always) make limbs longer. I'll see what they say, and I'll keep you updated. Guest guest
Makes me wonder...one of my mom's legs is over an inch shorter than her other...she also had a baby born with spinal bifida. We cannot find cf in our family and my family (not myself mind you) is Mormon on both sides and has geneology going back a few hundred years. Not sure if club foot was there somewhere and just not metioned/covered up. But we haven't been able to find it anywhere on either side. With cf linked to spinal bifida, it has always made me wonder if this is one of the reasons for Grace having it. I am not sure if spinal bifida is in anyway linked to my mother's leg length discrepency but it wouldn't suprise me. So many questions! I can't wait until they isolate the club foot gene and find out answers to all of them! & Grace > > My daughter have 1 leg longer than the other. She is 4 months old.
