I have no symptoms from the foods (no gas, no pains, no bloat), they just show up in the stool not completely digested. Holly, You might consider pureeing the cooked vegetables and making asavory smoothie out of it to have with your protein. Mashed up evidently isn't enough for you at this time. Interestingly, I did this for my vegetables for about a month after my cancer surgery. My oncologist said she thought this was an excellent idea, since it gave my gut a chance to recover from the indignities of having the uterus and everything removed around it. So if we're trying to get things healed down there, a similar tactic might be helpful. Something I also found helpful in kick-starting the digestion was taking some acidophilus caps at the same time I took the pureed vegetables -- continuing with the acidophilus when I returned to regular vegetables. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund
Guest guest
It could be yeast, but I think I kind of have a handle on it now. A couple weeks ago I failed the spit test, and started on a natural anti-fungal rotation (just garlic and olive leaf extract so far). This morning I did the spit test again, and passed! I'll keep rotating anti-fungals and hopefully kill off any remaining overgrowth. Sounds like I'm going to have to puree (yuck). I don't have any probiotic pills, so I'll try a spoon of yogurt before I eat to see if that helps as well. Thanks for the input!
