Guest guest
Congratulations! I am interested in people's feedback on the CI too. My son graduated a few weeks ago at 86.25%. He started at 94%, so this is pretty improved. However, it's still not normal. Someone else told me the CI decreases by a percentage point per year in young children. Anyone else heard this? How long does it go on? Not forever, obviously, or my CI would be, like, 50. > > Hello Everyone, > > My son is finally done with his helmet...yipee! We got his final scan results back from Hanger and I noticed that his CI went from 96% to 91%. However the so called 'normal range' is much lower than this. Part of me thinks that he is just going to have a more rounded head as I do. I also read that the CI will naturally decrease with age. > > I would love to hear what you all think of this. > > Thanks, > Dawn - Mom to Jake, 6mo old, tort-plagio-brachi, Hanger helmet-done, Living in Connecticut. >
Guest guest
Hi Dawn, My daughter started with a CI of 96, and graduated at 85. I know our doc likes to see patients get below 90, but you're close to that. My daughter is now 3 and what I notice is some funny angles on her head - they've been there all along, but don't seem to have improved. I have heard the CI can get better with age, but so far I haven't really noticed it. SHe hasn't been measured since 14 mo (she graduated at 10 mo old) so I don't know for sure what her CI is now. -christine sydney, 3yrs, starband grad > > Hello Everyone, > > My son is finally done with his helmet...yipee!
