Hi ,I have only one daughter and I find it hard sometimes to get all the things done that need to be around the home. I think it's normal to feel tired esp in the beginning of the diet and you are doing well by giving your body the rest it really needs. You mentioned you are eating black/navy beens. Maybe this is a bit early for you as it's suggested one should try them (and other pulses) only after having been on this diet for at least 3 months. Adding in steamed green beans and steamed brokoli sounds like a good idea and might give you a little more activity in the gut and energy to live. :-)Have you seen this chart, it really gives a good guideline of which foods are easiest to digest and best to use at first

and then slowly introduce other foods when feeling better: http://pecanbread.com/p/how/stages.htmHope you are feeling better soon.Take care,SimoneCrohn's 1999SCD 2004To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Fri,

I've been on the diet for a month and a half and I odn't know what's working. I have C and sometimes very bad gas

but that's my sypmtoms. It's only been since Dec that I've known. I

can't tell if anything is working b/c I have to use Milk of Mag to go.

I've been trying to add things slowly but I'm afraid that I'm missing

something nutritionally. I haven't added greens in except zucchini.

Maybe I need to add broccoli tops. I just started added black/navy beens in very slowly.  I've been juicing but I am just so

tired. I'm 39 and otherwise good health. Not overweight. Chases 2 kids

around. But I go to bed with them and sleep until 6. I'm getting about

9 hours a night which is completely not like me. I read the posts and love when people say that this is working but maybe I'm being so strict on myslef. For most meals I eat pureed carrots/squash/ chicken/broth/ turmeric/ garlic/salt. I had been eating prune puree with apples. Sometimes some eggs. I drink water and have warm lemon juice in the morning. I'm ok with my diet being very picky but I'm worried because I just get exhausted by 7 and can't funtion after 8. Doesn't do well for trying to get anything done. Any suggestions? Maybe I need some other supplements. Thanks so much,

Hi ! I was really tired when starting SCD (but I was always a bit tired

from being sick). It wasn't until about week 19 when I realized that I was

feeling more energized (I'm at week 21 now). Hang in there- you are doing a

lot-- on top of chasing kids around and constantly cooking, your entire body is

changing the way it digests. It will get better and happier at it the longer you

stick to the diet!

If there's one thing SCD is teaching me, it's patience. I suck at it, but I'm

trying.

I've been staying on the diet but now I know that my body is fighting something because my sinus drain a bit in the morning (my body's normal reaction to clearing something out of my system). But now (although I physically don't feel bad) have a little bit of a dry cough (honey is my savior for that) and I just woke up (4:15) with my eyes oozing a bit and are crusty. My poor 2 year old dealt with this about a month ago. No wonder he was so cranky in the morning. I've been

trying to do the baths with epsom salt but Marilyn? (I couldn't find the email) you told me about if my body couldn't handle a bath then just do my feet. But how does one know if they can't handle the bath? I didn't feel good and to be honest when I took it yesterday at 5:30 in the morning and no one else was up it was kind of nice to have a little me time. I'm disappointed I couldn't go back to sleep this morning because it will make for a long day. Thanks From: First Last <earthymom88@ yahoo.com>To: BTVC-SCD@yahoogroup s.comSent: Fri,
